LLRX.com is the premier free, independent, one person produced Web journal dedicated to providing legal, library, IT, CI, marketing, communications and administrative professionals with the most up-to-date information on a wide range of Internet research and technology-related issues, applications, resources and tools. With more than 100,000 readers each month, LLRX is now in its 16th year of continuous publication, as a solo, independent, free online journal with a global readership.
LLRX.com was established in 1996 by Founder, Editor and Publisher Sabrina I. Pacifici who has been an active and pioneering member of the online legal community since its inception. She created the journal PLL Perspectives in 1989, and served as its only editor and publisher until 1996. She then focused her efforts on the new and evolving arena of web publishing, and developed one of the first online journals on Web research targeted to the legal community. Debuting in November 1996, LLRX.com was quickly established as a reliable "go-to" online resource for researchers to leverage the expanding content of the World Wide Web. With Sabrina as the sole Editor, Publisher and Web Manager, the site has consistently been recognized as a publisher of comprehensive, well-documented, non-partisan, content-rich, up-to-date topical research guides, resources on web-related applications, tools, services, and related information invaluable to researchers in law, academia, government, corporate, news and public interest sectors.
Sabrina has authored many articles on legal technology topics, delivered more than 300 presentations at professional conferences and seminars nationwide, and worked for over three decades as a law/special library director, legal technologist, website and intranet manager, as well as an enterprise blogger. She was named one of Library Journal's (LJ's) Movers & Shakers 2006, and profiled in the American Bar Association (ABA) Law Practice Magazine, December 2006 issue.
In May 2006, Sabrina joined a leading media company where she continued her work in the areas of legal research, knowledge management initiatives, and enterprise blogging. In July 2007, Sabrina joined a federal regulatory agency in Washington, D.C. to direct, manage, expand and innovate proactive fulfillment of knowledge and research services delivered to 3,850 staff around the country in the areas of law, finance, banking, regulatory and legislative issues. In addition, beginning in 2005, Sabrina was adjunct professor at the University of Maryland Center for Information Policy, where she taught courses that included: Competitive Intelligence; E-Government Principles; Information Architecture, Law and Information Policy; Terrorism, Information and a Democratic Society; and the History and Policy and Government Openness.
