Contents Pages from Law Reviews and Other Scholarly Journals
This university law school produced site provides online versions of the tables of contents of 750+ law reviews and scholarly journals related to the law. U.S. as well as foreign titles are included. You can select U.S. or non U.S. contents pages for viewing if you wish. Only journals received in the past three months are listed on the site. The files are updated daily. The contents pages from a journal appear the day following receipt by the Tarlton Law Library. The entire archive can be searched by keyword.
Brief Reporter, LLC
This site has collected publicly filed briefs from across the country in a searchable database. Attorney permission is obtained for all briefs in the database. Searching is free. The cost to download a brief is $40.00 for nonsubscribers and $10.00 for subscribers. The company claims to have law editors who analyze, index and abstract each brief. The database is updated weekly. You can register for a free Personal Notification Service that allows you to received notices of newly received briefs specific to your practice specialties.
This site provides access to treaties, arbitration laws, judicial decisions and arbitral awards, institutions and rules, model clauses, arbitrators, publications, future conferences and seminars in the area of international arbitration. These is a country index and search capability. This site is maintained by two Hogan & Hartson associates with the assistance of contributing lawyers worldwide.
RAND California: An Online Source on Public Policy and Economics
This is a preview site of which most is currently free. It contains California statistics in 600+ categories of which selected categories are free. The free Online Library indexes recent research and other publications from California institutions on public policy and research. Economic reports, also free, provides information on current economic conditions in California and developments in that area. The Online Calendar is also free of charge. There are Federal Policy Bulletins and State Policy Bulletins outlining federal and state policy issues effecting California. These bulletins and most of the statistics are subscription items. An individual subscription costs $215.00 per year. You can search the website.
Sources of Applicable Law for Lemon Cars
Need to know how to proceed if you have a new auto that may fall under the the nation's lemon laws, then visit this site. The site lists the three main areas of applicable law: the Magnuson-Moss Warranty-Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act, Uniform Commercial Code and the State Warranty Rights Acts (Lemon Laws). The applicable state laws are listed alphabetically by state with the pertinent code section citation. There are also Consumer Strategies in Lemon Car Cases, Informal Dispute Resolution or Arbitration, and Lemon Links, Lemon Lawyers and Lemon Reading Materials.>
US Government Blue Pages Online Directory
This site allows users to locate government services telephone numbers anywhere in the nation. Currently, the user is only able to access the America Anywhere nationwide directory by clicking on the Web Pages (Images) or PDF file link. Instead of being listed by government organization as in past "blue pages" in the print telephone directories, the telephone numbers are now listed by service. By mid-summer it is predicted that the online directory will be searchable. Individual state directories are not yet online.
