With regard to the recent national corporate scandals, it provides brief abstract type information on those “busted”, cases settled, those under investigation, CEOs in trouble, and the investigators. It also provides links to the latest few days stories relating to the scandals and the SEC. there are also links to related stories on Fortune.com.

This website is maintained by the California Energy Commission. You can browse terms and their definitions alphabetically. There is also a link to the Electric Power Industry Glossary, http://www.energycentral.com/sections/directories/glossary/.
"This dictionary has over 56,508 entries with over 10,369 audio pronunciations." You can seek English words in Spanish or Spanish words in English. The word with its English or Spanish equivalent is displayed as well as links to other related words. “The accents for the audio portion of the dictionary are: ENGLISH – American; SPANISH – Central American and Cuban.” There are instructions on how to enter characters with accents. There is also FAQ page. I found several words in Spanish which did not have audio pronunciations. The "word of the day" feature is nice.

This site has won several “net” awards. To search this site, you drill down from continent to country to category. You call also choose to select “all news links” under the category section. North America has the most links. Once you click on a link, you are taken to the publication’s homepage. The number of full text accessible articles varies with each publication.
Information for aneki.com is derived from United Nations’ agencies and the CIA World Factbook. “Aneki.com is an independent, privately operated website based in Montreal, Canada.” Country information, regional and world rankings are provided. You can browse by world regions, categories (economic, social, etc.), or by lists (richest, cleanest, most populous, etc.). If you select a region, the number of countries in that region is displayed along with the region’s total population, and its percentage of the world’s population. There is a link to a map of the region and to the lists in which the region is included. You can drill down to an individual country for more in depth information. If you select a category to browse, you will find links to various ranked lists (i.e., under economic you find most polluted and cleanest etc.).
