World Development Resources (TMS Sequoia)

This site is a digital repository of World Bank Documents. Development related reports generated since 1988 can be searched. Working papers and publications produced since 1993 by the World Bank are also available here. The TMS Sequoia plug-in is available at the site for use in viewing the papers.


This site allows you to search for free news sources on the Internet. At present, the sources are located in the U.S., but worldwide resources will be added in the future. You may search by a topic of your choosing or select from the sites existing topics of A&E, Breaking, Business, Popular, U.S. States, Technology, or Weather. There is a full text archives section for searching for information more than 7 days old.

Forum One

This site allows you to search over 122,000 Web forums. You may search by a topic of your choosing or use one of the predetermined categories of recommended forums at the site. Basic information about each forum is included for each forum located in a search, plus a link to the forum.

This site provides economic information by region for both states and 250+ metro areas in the U.S., economic forecasts on many different economic points, industry economic information, a dictionary of economic terms, and links to other economic sites.


This site allows access to 60 law related mailing lists. The lists are arranged in seven topics: Legal Subject Lists; Professions Lists; Legal Librarian Lists; Law Student Lists; Bulletins, Newsletter; Legal Classifieds; and Find Satisfaction in the Law. Archives can be viewed by author, date or thread. URL’s are provided and subscription information is given with each list plus list descriptions when available. United Kingdom Parliament Home Page

This site provides information about the United Kingdom Parliament, the House of Commons, and the House of Lords. You can link to the Parliamentary Bookshop, Parliamentary Archives, and search the Parliamentary Publications Database. Full text of publications will be displayed. Some of the publications available are the Order Paper, House of Commons Debates, Standing Committees on Bills, Public Bills, Select Committees reports, The Weekly Information Bulletin, and the Sessional Information Digest.

U.S.Army Publishing Agency

This site provides electronic access to selected Army publications. The IBM Library Reader is required to read these files. There is a link to the IBM site for obtaining the reader free. Electronic forms are also available with the option of using FTP client if you need to download a large number of forms. There are links to News bulletins, Center Realignment Info, Army SGML Registry and Library, the Army Publications Ordering and Subscription System and a special section on other links of interest.

The European Union(EU) Agenda 2000

The European Commission released its opinions on the ten applications for EU membership from Central and Eastern Europe plus documents describing the “Agenda 2000” program on July 16, 1997. The Agenda 2000 is made up of the Commission’s proposals for agricultural, structural, and horizontal policies, a reinforced preaccession strategy, and the financial framework beyond 1999. A free subscription to the Supreme Court International Bulletin e-mail is available from this site. It is a free weekly e-mail of Superior Court decisions from the US Supreme Court in English; the Canadian Supreme Court (La Cour Suprême du Canada) in English and French; the UK House of Lords in English; the High Court of Australia in English; the Bundesverfassungsgericht (the German Federal Constitutional Court) in German and English; Le Conseil Constitutionnel (The Constitutional Court of France) in French and English; The Court of Justice of the European Communities in English, German and French; and the South African Constitutional Court in English.


PolicyFile is an annual subscription database. The data is collected from public policy think tanks around the world. The database includes over 12,000 abstracts with additions weekly plus direct access to full-text articles within the abstracts. There are direct links to organizational home pages and e-mail addresses. The abstracts date back to 1990. All subscriptions include a monthly, customized, electronic newsletter (HEADLINES) which lists the latest abstracts added to the database under the three subject areas selected by the subscriber. Base subscription price for one concurrent user for one year is $995.00.

UK Official Publications on the Internet

This site has full text or summary of selected documents prepared by The Stationery Office for the Internet. The Stationery Office publications are listed by date, by title, or by department. Other Official Publications on the Internet are listed by category as follows: Acts of Parliament, Bills, Budget Information, Command Papers, Hansard, House of Commons Papers, Judgments of the House of Lords, Orders Papers, Press Releases-Parliamentary and Government, Public Information and Select Committees. Some of these publications are obtained from the UK Parliament and Her Majesty’s Stationery Office websites.

The Office of the Clerk, On-line Information Center, U.S. House of Representatives

You can obtain copies of bills and other House documents at this site. Many Clerk’s publications can be viewed here. A project is underway to make biographies of former House Members available. These entries will include a brief biography, list of repositories holding archival materials relating to members, a bibliography, and photographs or illustrations. Lobbyists can download forms at the Lobbying Registrations Section.

This is a financial megasite. You can enter a Ticker number and obtain a stock quote. You can search by company name or stock ticker and obtain company information. There are links to stock exchanges, online stock quotes, online brokerages with a comparison table of brokers, securities commissions, mutual funds, financial news, rating & market data, central banks, online bands financial software and more. There are Daily top business news links for U.S. business by PR Newswire, Hi-Tech industry news by Newsbytes, and Canadian company news by Canadian Corporate NewsNet.


This site provides a category arrangement of e-journals. There is a search engine. There is a category for law. There is a link to each publications website and a short description of each e-journal.

The links on this site are arranged alphabetically by subject category. The links lead to more than 3,000 magazines, professional journals, trade and consumer publications. There are categories for Legal & Law and Legal-State & Regional. Other categories of interest are banking, business, computer/computers, and medical.
