This site provides links to environmental law around the world. The site is divided into five geographical regions (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe–includes former USSR, and the Middle East) and a sixth section–Treaties and other links. Each region subdivides into country specific links. This website is produced by The Institute for Global Communications (IGC) which is a nonprofit organization that provides alternative sources of information as well as online access and comprehensive Internet services for progressive individuals and organizations.

Internet Detective

This site was created by The Institute for Learning and Research Technology at the University of Bristol. Free registration is required to use the online tutorial. The mission of the tutorial is to introduce the user to the issues of information quality on the Internet and to instruct the user on how to evaluate websites for information quality. Under “Practice Steps” there is a very good section on URL’s and how to understand their construction. The tutorial includes exercises, examples, and quizzes.

World Law Guide

This site provides links to law firms, legislation, law schools, court/cases, and organizations. The “More” button links to indices, law journals, legal software, and legal education. The site claims to have 4000 links to legal websites in 40 countries.
