At this VISA web page, you select a region and country to begin your search. Once that selection has been made, you are presented with fields for street address, cross street/building, city, state/province, and postal code. You can also add the qualifiers for Braille, handicapped access, 24 hour access, or airport location. There is also a display qualifier to select the number of hits you wish displayed. Once you click on “Find ATMs”, the search results are displayed. The results include a map, bank name, street address, location and include the qualifier you requested. The site covers ATMs that accept VISA, VISA Electron and PLUS.

This MASTERCARD page works is similar to the VISA ATM locator, but does not offer as many options to qualify your search. The maps are not as nice either. It shows ATMs that will accept MASTERCARD, CIRRUS, and MAESTRO.

PriceSCAN bills itself as “your guide to finding the best price on thousands of computer hardware and software products.” (They actually list many items other than computer hardware and software such as home appliances, movies, office equipment and sporting goods to list a few categories.) Their searchable database (PRICE GUIDE) consists of publicly available product and pricing information gathered form magazine ads, vendor catalogs, web sites, etc. Search results are listed with the lowest price first. They also offer a STORE DIRECTORY that allows users to find stores that sell the products they wish to purchase. PriceSCAN is updated daily. A search result lists the basic information about the product, store name and link to website, source of the information and date, price, and a link to a photo of the product.
