David Barker is currently a part-time writer and full-time pet sitter living in Seattle, Washington. Born and raised in the "other" Washington (D.C.), David draws on his varied life experiences to create essays, short stories and novels. He has made a living as a juggler, restauranteur, street fair producer, web site designer, horse wrangler, and golf instructor. David is also the co-founder of Change For Good, a non-profit organization whose mission is to collect the foreign change and currency Americans bring home from abroad and convert it to U.S. dollars. The funds are then used to provide adventure experiences for local children's groups in conjunction with the International Youth Hostel.
